The Noosfera Foundation organised the Young Audience Film Day 2014 in Tbilisi aimed at selecting the best film for children in the framework of the Young Audience Award.
The European Film Academy Young Audience Award, first introduced in 2012 on occasion of the 25th European Film Awards, was presented this year in the framework of a Young Audience Film Day on Sunday, 4 May. Three nominated films were screened to young audiences which have then elected the winner. Among this year’s participating 17 cities were Tbilisi/Georgia, Erfurt/Germany, London/UK, Belgrade/Serbia, Bratislava/Slovakia, Budapest/Hungary, Cluj/Romania, Prizren/Kosovo, Riga/Latvia, Sofia/Bulgaria, Turin/Italy and Wroclaw/Poland
The European Film Academy Young Audience Award is organised and presented by the European Film Academy and EFA Productions with the support of the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung (MDM). The Young Audience Film Day in Tbilisi was supported by the Georgian National Film Centre.
